Blackcore Network Engineer

Netorian is currently recruiting for three (3) Blackcore Network Engineers to join our team in Afghanistan as the in-country network and system administrators to support United States Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A) under the Command, Control, Communications, Computers Information Technology (C4 IT) Services contract.

Job Description: The Blackcore Network Engineer will:

• Collectively provide 24/7 IP/MPLS network engineering support for the design, configuration, implementation, operational management, and troubleshooting of the BlackCore network.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in key Service Provider technologies and protocols such as DiffServ TE, VPLS. Layer 2 VPN, Layer 3 VPN, MP-BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, MPLS/LDP, Inter-AS option B, Packet over SONET, IPSec, CSC, Internet Overlay VPNs, Remote Access VPNs, redistribution and Service Provider Quality of Service (QoS).
• Maintain Cisco ACS and RSA SecureID servers along with Symmetricom and Microsemi NTP servers.
• Maintain network diagrams using Microsoft Visio; updates shall be made within seven (7) days of network changes.
• Maintain compliance of network device software versions and configuration in accordance with DISA STIG policy; devices must be compliant within a 30 day notification of policy updates.
• Troubleshoot network problems within one (1) hour of notification; resolve problems within six (6) hours unless contingent on an upstream service provider.

This position is based in Afghanistan. The Blackcore Network Engineer will work 72 hours a week, 7 days a week, available on-call 24/7.

Skills and Detailed Experience Required:

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Enterprise level routing
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Service Provider level routing.
• Hold and maintain DoD 8570.01M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III Certification.

Additional Qualifications:

• TS/SCI clearance required. 

• Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills
