Netorian is currently recruiting for four (4) WAN Network Engineers to join our team in Afghanistan as the in-country network and system administrators to support United States Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A) under the Command, Control, Communications, Computers Information Technology (C4 IT) Services contract.

Job Description: The WAN Network Engineer will:

  • Collectively provide 24/7 network engineering support for the following:
    • Design,
    • Configuration,
    • Implementation,
    • Operational management
    • Network monitoring, and
    • Troubleshooting of the enterprise network.
  • Conduct IP management for the theater.
  • Maintain compliance of network device software versions, & configurations in accordance with DISA STIG policy within 30 days of policy updates.


This position is based in Afghanistan. The WAN Network Engineer will work 72 hours a week, 7 days a week, available on-call 24/7.

Skills and Detailed Experience Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Enterprise level routing
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Service Provider level routing.
  • Candidates collectively demonstrate at least five (5) years’ experience in each of the following six (6) protocols and technologies areas:
    • Routing protocols (BGP, BGP VPNv4, EIGRP OSPF, ISIS, RIP, MPLS and VRF) and Multicast protocols (PIM, MSDP and MBGP).
    • Switching protocols (spanning tree, CST, MSTP, PVST, RPVST+, VTP, DTP, GVRP, MAB, VLAN and private VLAN).
    • DMVPN technologies (NHRP phase 3, per tunnel QOS, IKE, IPSEC, EZVPN and site-to-site VPN).
    • IP services (WCCP, AAA, QOS, IP SLA, EEM, Syslog, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP and NTP).
    • Network management tools and protocols (NetFlow, SNMP, Cisco Works, GEM-X, SNMPc, ACS, ASDM and CSM).
    • Hardware experience with ASR, Nexus, ASAs, TACLANEs, and Netscreens.
  • Hold and maintain DoD 8570.01M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III Certification.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • SECRET clearance required. 
  • Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • High School Diploma
