Netorian is currently recruiting for one (1) DasNet Systems Engineer to join our team in Afghanistan as the in-country network and system administrators to support United States Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A) under the Command, Control, Communications, Computers Information Technology (C4 IT) Services contract.

Job Description: The DasNet Systems Engineer will:

  • Perform system configuration and troubleshooting as directed by the DasNet Network Operations Center (NOC).
  • Report all technical issues to the DasNet NOC and JNOSC-A for resolution and situational awareness (SA).
  • Provide remote support to sites via remote management software and networks.
  • Assist users in the initial setup and troubleshooting of workstations, printers, audio visual equipment, other auxiliary devices, and installation of software across three domains and the processing and tracking of related Remedy tickets (or follow-on network trouble ticket systems).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user trouble tickets with local Direct Signal Support Teams (DSST) and Signal units.        


This position is based in Afghanistan. The DasNet Systems Engineer will work 70 hours a week, Monday - Saturday and be on call 24/7.

Skills and Detailed Experience Required:

  • Maintain IAT Level II compliance per DOD 8570 and demonstrates familiarity with the following protocols and technologies:
    • Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, RIP, MPLS and VRF) and Multicast protocols (PIM, MSDP).
    • Switching protocols (spanning tree, CST, MISTP, PVST, RPVST+, VTP, DTP, GVRP, MAB, VLAN, VSS, and private VLAN).
    • IP services (WCCP, AAA, QOS, IP SLA, EEM, Syslog, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP and NTP).
    • Network management tools and protocols (TDMA, NetFlow, SNMP, Cisco Works, GEM-X, SNMPc, ACS, ASDM and CSM).
    • Enterprise services (exchange / Outlook, chat, Adobe Connect, VTC, Voice, etc.).
  • Maintain certifications and credentials to be eligible for a USFOR-A elevated account.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience of Network Routing/Switching technologies and IP Services.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Network Management Tools and Enterprise Services.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience and understanding of the Cisco Collaboration tools and technologies.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • SECRET clearance required. 
  • Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma
