Netorian is currently recruiting for four (4) Knowledge Management Technicians to join our team in Afghanistan as the in-country network and system administrators to support United States Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A) under the Command, Control, Communications, Computers Information Technology (C4 IT) Services contract.

Job Description: The Knowledge Management Technician will:

  • Install, operate, and maintain SharePoint, Adobe Connect System, Customer Relations Manager (CRM), and the Task Management Tool (TMT) (or others as upgraded or determined by USFOR-A).
  • Troubleshoot capability problems down to the packet level and determine if all pertinent protocols are traversing the network as intended.
  • Responsible for the development, planning, design, testing, implementation, upgrade, and management of internal and external SharePoint sites (includes 2013 and future upgrades) supporting USFOR-A and its partners. Functions shall include, determining overall website design and structure, monitoring web site functionality, security, and integrity, troubleshooting and resolving problems, reviewing, testing, collecting and analyzing website statistics, evaluating new web applications and providing technical advice to web content providers
  • Analyze USFOR-A's information architecture, understand FOB, Directorate, CSTC-A and Resolute Support organizational requirements, to configure and maintain organizational taxonomies, site collections, policies, procedures, and solutions.
  • Install, debug, and maintain necessary code of assigned software.
  • Stay current with present trends and activities.
  • Collect long-term (7-10 year) and permanent joint records on a quarterly basis.
  • Support collection of other record types and other time intervals if requested by USFOR-A J6.
  • Organize collected data as requested by USFOR-A J6.
  • Provide training about records management at all levels to ensure records are organized according to higher level guidance.
  • Perform physical resolution of user issues, as required.
  • Execute day-to-day support/maintenance activities on the servers and services.
  • Coordinates with appropriate agency to ensure backups and monitoring is being accomplished.
  • Assist USFOR-A J6 personnel in identifying new processes for automating the records management functions/collections within the CJOA-A.
  • Ensure SharePoint sites and File Systems are compliant with Knowledge and Records Management Directives.
  • Coordinate, document, test, validate, and deploy new technology, as required.
  • Provide physical server support as required.
  • Maintain SharePoint server, adobe connect server, CRM server and TMT application IAW DISA and other government standards.
  • As needed, upgrade both hardware and software of same servers.  


This position is based in Afghanistan. The Knowledge Management Technician will work 72 hours a week, 7 days a week, available on-call 24/7.

Skills and Detailed Experience Required:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of SharePoint 2013 admin experience and three (3) years Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 experience
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of SharePoint Architecture and functionality and a working knowledge of related technologies such as: Windows Server administration, Windows Architecture, SQL Server 20xx, Internet Information Server, Active Directory, Secure Socket Layer (SSL), Kerberos, ISA and Microsoft Office desktop application integration with SharePoint
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge with workflow, InfoPath and the most current supported product capable of integration with other technologies.
  • Maintain DOD 8570.1-M compliance for IAT Level II

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • SECRET clearance required. 
  • Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • High School Diploma
