Netorian is currently recruiting for three (3)) Technical Support Technicians to join our team in Afghanistan as the in-country network and system administrators to support United States Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A) under the Command, Control, Communications, Computers Information Technology (C4 IT) Services contract.

Job Description: The Technical Support Technicians will:

  • Provide end user support for automation/information technology equipment and software.
  • Provide information technology related customer support/service.
  • Assist users in initial setup and account creation.
  • Troubleshoot workstations, printers, audio/visual equipment, server connections, and other auxiliary devices.
  • Install software across three domains and process and track related Remedy tickets (or follow-on network trouble ticket systems).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user trouble tickets with local Direct Signal Support Teams (DSST) and signal units.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all help desks across the CJOA.
  • Coordinate network support issues with Information Management Officers (IMO) and provide assistance in troubleshooting unit member network issues.  


This position is based in Afghanistan. The Technical Support Technicians will work 72 hours a week, 7 days a week, available on-call 24/7.

Skills and Detailed Experience Required:

  • Candidate shall have strong customer support/service skills.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a helpdesk or information technology customer support role, elevated network, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to respond to changes in a fluid environment.
  • Have basic knowledge of LAN/WAN and operating system principles for installation configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to provide desktop support, installation, configuration and technical supporting across multiple classified and unclassified platforms.
  • Hold and maintain DoD 8570.01M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 1 Certification. This includes baseline certification (i.e. A+ or N+) and computing environment (CE) certificate or certification applicable to the information system supporting.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • SECRET clearance required. 
  • Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills

 

Education:

  • Information Technology related Bachelor’s degree desired (MIS, Computer Systems, etc.
