Netorian is seeking a Senior Network Engineer.

Location:

  • Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Employment Type:

  • Full-time, exempt

Compensation:

  • Competitive, depending on qualifications and experience

Travel:

  • 10%

Clearance Required:

  • DoD security clearance (Secret) required. Must be a US citizen

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.
  • Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education (i.e. four ADDITIONAL years in lieu of a Master's, eight ADDITIONAL years if no degree).

Certifications:

  • Certifications in routing and switching (CCNA, etc.).
  • CompTIA Security+.

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years related experience. A minimum of 15 years of progressively more complex experience in network design, development, and documentation.

Description of Work:

The Senior Network Engineer supports the Tactical Radios SETA program and serves as a working leader to lower-grade personnel and is considered an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.

The Senior Network Engineer must be an SME with regard to strategic areas of SoS architecture development including next generation technology insertion strategies, and integration planning of future C4ISR capabilities.

Additional expertise in RF engineering, satellite communications and other MIL-STD communications equipment/waveforms is a plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing communications engineering expertise to PEO C3T in pursuit of technical and policy solutions to tactical enterprise and local area C4ISR challenges facing the Army’s current and future forces.
  • Contributing technical expertise in the areas of tactical communications network engineering, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support in garrison, field, and operationally deployed locations.
  • Reviewing, assisting, and mentoring lower-grade personnel to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Providing analysis, assessments, and test evaluation of potential high payoff communications capabilities in support of the PEO C3T global warfighter C4ISR support plan.
  • Performing tradeoff studies for system level design and material acquisition of tactical communication systems, implementing and testing such methodologies and devices.
  • Serving as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.
  • Independently designing, modifying, and installing portions of the network infrastructure.
  • Ensuring that non-functioning network components are repaired / replaced in a timely manner through maintenance contracts.
