Description

Netorian is seeking a Systems Engineer (CFT – Cross-Functional Teams). The successful candidate must be a well-rounded systems engineer with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and team members to work as a cross functional team/science and technology liaison that can provide systems engineering support, architecture support, technical guidance and recommendations to Senior Leadership (O-5 and above).

Employment Type:

  • Full-time, exempt.

Location:

  • Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD -- remote work option may be available.

Travel:

  • 25% or more.

Clearance:

  • Secret clearance or higher required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or any other related quantitative field. Work experience/Military experience of the equivalent is also acceptable for this position.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience.
  • Knowledgeable of Army’s C3T tactical network.
  • Understanding of Army Acquisition and management (including MTA and JCIDS) of program funding.
  • Understands system life cycle and the interdependencies between tactical networks and other TR SETA product lines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Data-oriented personality.

Description of Work:

The Systems Engineer (CFT) will act as the Tactical Radios POC Liaison between Science & Technology (S&T), Network Cross-Functional Team (CFT), and O5 Product Managers, assisting in technology transitions within Project Manager Tactical Radio programs (PM TR) PEO C3T.

In addition, this position will perform daily tasks as the technical advisor to the Chief of the Strategic Technologies Branch while supporting research and development of the future Radio Frequency (RF) network for the U.S. Army.

Duties, roles, and responsibilities include:

  • Apply understanding of the Army’s C3T tactical network and apply system engineering principles to recommend technical insertions.
  • Liaison between PM TR, Network-CFT and S&T to assist in the technology transition to O5 Product Managers for PM TR capabilities.
  • Represent PM TR at all future capabilities set (CS) meetings, conferences and technical exchange meetings (TEM) and prepare executive summaries.
  • Plan, manage and recommend emerging technologies, working with vendors to investigate and assess technologies for future adoption and transition to PM TR.
  • Maintain awareness of current, evolving, and new technologies applicable to C3T systems.
  • Interface with vendors at technical fairs, tradeshows, technical meetings to brief stakeholders in recommendations.
  • Develop tech insertion, experiment, and fielding schedule for future capability sets.
  • Support research and development (R&D) to the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams for requirements for multiple programs.
  • Interface with technical professionals in their respective fields for R&D work as well as in the writing, editing and publication of various types of documents to include test cases, reports, and presentations.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of the operational and technical requirements of products being brought in to support the program.
  • Work pro-actively with Project Leads and team members to resolve project-related findings and the implementation of corrective actions.
