Netorian seeks a Lead Systems Engineer specializing in DevOps for TR SETA’s Tactical Radios program for the Technical Management Division on-site at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This dynamic team works in one of the most impactive and exciting technology domains affecting battlefield success in the Army.

Employment Type:

• Full-time, exempt.

• Competitive, based on qualifications and experience.

Travel:

• 10% or less.

Clearance:

• Must have a minimum of an active Secret Clearance

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with a combination of IT and network engineering, security engineering, systems administration, or security operations in a professional work environment.
• Experience leading and mentoring other DevOps engineers.
• Previous experience with system engineering, software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations.
• Experience with managing and/or configuring Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and their potential clearly and confidently.
• Experience with infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools, scripting such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, .NET.
• Experience with Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Description of Work:

The Lead DevOps Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Leverages experience with IT and network engineering, security engineering, systems administration, or security operations in a professional work environment leading and mentoring other DevOps engineers.
• Works directly with the DevOps team and Senior DevOps manager to test system integrity.
• Provides technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
• Manages and/or configures Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Monitors metrics and develop ways to improve.
• Improves infrastructure development and application development.
• Brainstorms for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
• Consults with peers for feedback during testing stages.
• Documents and designs various processes and update existing processes.
• Maintains day-to-day management and administration of projects.
• Improves infrastructure development and application development.
• Follows all best practices and procedures.
